Frequently Asked Questions
As the name would suggest, this section is a compilation of answers to the questions our clients commonly ask.
A "frequently asked questions" list is no substitute for a personal discussion on a topic of importance. Please feel comfortable in calling us to ask any questions that you may have. We are here to help!

- Why digital printing over traditional offset printing?
In the traditional world of offset printing, the more units produced, the smaller the cost per unit. It is easier to justify a $10,000.00 printing bill if you print 25,000 pieces. But do you always need 25,000 pieces? What happens if important information contained in your document changes? What if you want to adjust a price? What if you want to add service offerings? What if your contact information changes? God forbid, but what if you have a typo?
Digital printing offers comparable quality color printing in EXACTLY the quantity you need. It is cost effective to produce small quantities. Digital printing gives you the security to make changes on the fly as needed.
COST EFFECTIVE – LOW RISK – HIGHLY FLEXIBLE – QUICK TURNAROUND
- What is variable data printing and why should I care?
Variable data printing is the end product produced by merging the data contained in a database with a printed piece. The technology allows each printed piece produced to be tailored to an audience of one. Variable data printing is also called one-to one printing. Text, data and graphics can all be customized in each individual piece.
A partial list of variables for variable data printing include; sex, age, address, marital status, language, occupation, hobbies, products previously purchased, education, schools attended, previous contributions, rent vs. own, etc. The variables are limited only by the data accumulated.
The benefits to variable data printing campaigns are:
- Improved response rates
- Increased orders
- Faster response times
- Stronger customer relationships
- Longer, higher value relationships
- Increased return on investment (ROI) per document
- How long does it take for you to complete my order?
We pride ourselves on EXCEEDING our customer’s expectations. We have completed jobs in a matter of hours. We understand how important time to market is. Let’s talk about your requirements – we aren’t afraid of a short schedule!
- What is a "proof"?
A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements. Typically, we will produce a proof which will be sent to you online or printed on paper which can be viewed in our office or delivered to you in person.
On four color jobs, we produce your proof on the actual press and paper stock that the final product will be printed on. No surprises - that's how we like it!
- Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?
We employ human beings to produce your work and, last time we checked, humans are not perfect. Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after the job is completed and delivered.
- How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
Well, since you are here, we would suggest you use our online estimate request form. Otherwise, the best way to ensure that we get all the information necessary to do an accurate quote, give us a call and talk with one of our great people.
